One day it snowed.

It snowed so much it covered the top of Paul’s cabin.

It was socold the snow turned blue.

Paul saw a baby ox stuck in the blue snow.

The little ox was so cold it was blue, just like the snow.

一天下雪了，积雪盖过了保罗的木屋屋顶。

天气特别严寒，积雪变成了蓝色。

保罗看到一只小公牛困在蓝色的积雪里。

小公牛也是蓝色的，恰如积雪的颜色。

Paul said, “it looks like I have to take care of you, babe.”

The name Babe stuck to the little ox like glue.

保罗说：贝贝，看来我要照顾你了。

从此小公牛就叫贝贝了。

Paul took Babe home.

He made a very big fire from ten trees.

Babe got warm, but Babe stayed blue.

保罗把贝贝带回家。

他砍了10棵树来取暖。

贝贝暖和了，但是它还是蓝色。

Sue fixed 100 flapjacks for Babe.

Babe ate them up in one big gulp.

In no time a tall, Babe was as big as the great Paul Bunyan!

素给贝贝做了100个煎饼，贝贝一口就吃掉了。

瞬间，贝贝长得像班杨一样大了。

Chapter 3 A Very Big Bath

第三章大浴缸

In the spring, the snow melted.

It made a very big lake.

Paul was happy.

He had a bathtub that fit him at last.

But Babe got thirty.

Babe took one look at the lake and drank it in one big gulp!

春天，积雪融化，化成了一个湖。

保罗很开心，因为他有个了合适的浴缸了。

但是贝贝渴了，于是贝贝就喝了一大口湖水。

And that is the story of how Paul Bunyan met Babe the Blue Ox.
